30. Wisconsin Dells – 21 October 2012

50th Birthday Run!

This run was in Wisconsin Dells — apparently folks from Chicago like to go there for vacations. It is located about 2 hours outside of Milwaukee. Lots of mini-golf places, arcades, family fun things. Reminded me a bit of Blackpool, England.

It was off-season, nice place, good weather and a lovely run. For some reason, the race organizers had a Western theme, the medal was a belt buckle, and every runner got a cowboy hat at the finish line.

Celebrated my 50th birthday here, ended up drinking far too much red wine and “Apple Pie” shots. Following the race, headed down to Milwaukee to buy the Harley (2007 Sportster). Had to drive the bike back to Cincinnati on a trailer.
