Idaho

41. Sun Valley – 1 June 2013

First of the back-to-back runs.

Logistics for getting to all of the fifty states were often challenging. Many states only had one or two races during the year, and I was on a self-imposed deadline. So, Idaho and Wyoming were both done on the same weekend.

Flew into Denver on Friday, drove 11 hours to Sun Valley to run on Saturday, and then after the race, drove 9 hours to Casper WY for the Sunday run. Headed back to Denver following that.

Sun Valley is a pretty nice town to visit, and the scenery was gorgeous. Mountain air without the mountain cold. The course was really good, through the town with only a few uphill sections. Made it to the finish line, but the organizers had run out of medals!

Fortunately, one of the volunteers gave me his own medal to ensure I had my proof!
