The Run Fifty story:

In 2008, I ran a half marathon in Salt Lake City, Utah. This was my first US state half marathon. I was 45 years old at the time.

Somehow, this simple run turned into 50 half marathons — in all 50 states — by the time I turned 50 years old… “fifty by fifty” became my goal.

On 19 October 2013, I ran the 50th state — a half marathon in Dover, Delaware. Two days before my 51st birthday on 21 October.

I had done it — my Fifty by Fifty. Completed in 5 years…travelled over 55,000 miles…ran a distance of 655 miles…in 150 hours…
