34. Charleston – 19 January 2013

The other Charleston!

I ran in two Charlestons while doing the Fifty – the first was in South Carolina, and a few weeks later, the second in West Virginia.

The first Charleston is an old Southern grand city – beautiful promenades, mansion houses, seaside views. The medal highlights the coastal promenade. The course went through these areas – downtown, along the historic coastline, and through many different neighborhoods.

The people were very welcoming, and I spent a bit of time looking around the downtown, checking out some pubs and restaurants, and of course, shopping.
