17. Nashville – 10 March 2012

Getting faster — I would complete 18 half marathons during 2012, and Tennessee was one of the top 5 fastest.

I think of Nashville as the home to country music and Grand Ole Opry — but I did not see any of that. I drove the long drive from Arkansas, ran, and drove back. Most of the drive is very scenic – Tennessee has a lot of very nice countryside.

Nashville is bit of a sprawling place, and the race course was pretty much the same — it was along the river, pleasant enough, but nothing really stands out. Start and finish was at the NFL football stadiums, home of the Tennessee Titans, honestly, a team I don’t know all that much about. Their color is orange. Kind of sums up the run — nice enough, but nothing really to talk about.
