8. Atlanta – 20 March 2011

Home to Ted Turner, CNN, Atlanta Braves and Coca Cola World… Atlanta

Starting line was downtown in the Olympic Park area. Was a cold morning, but clear and good running weather. The run wound its way around downtown and in front of CNN. I was able to stay right downtown the night before, so was able to grab that extra few minutes in bed before heading to the start.

For each race in The Fifty, I have a medal, t-shirt or technical running shirt, my running bib number – and in later races I took photos of the start line and finish. Atlanta is the only race where I no longer have the running bib number.
